Young children learn through play and first hand experiences.
In our setting children explore, build, run, paint, laugh, investigate, ask questions and learn through a well planned environment and a range of activities.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum which has seven areas of learning, covered in spaces for play in both our indoor and outdoor classroom. The areas of learning are;
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication and Language
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
- Physical Development
Our nursery topics follow childrens’ interests and curiosities. The topics change as emerging interests are followed and explored.
Further explanations about the curriculum can be viewed in our Nursery Brochure.
Further details and photographs of activities are also available in the section ‘The Nursery Curriculum‘ on this website.
